Young people can attend college as part of their studies while still at school.
This normally takes place in Year 10 and 11 and is available in any of the following areas:
Day Release
Normally aimed at learners who would suit a more practical way of learning, these
qualifications are offered at Entry Level or Level 1 and students attend one day
per week.
Twilight
These courses are the equivalent of 4 or 5 GCSEs and involve learners attending once a week after school between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
Young Apprenticeship Programme
The college currently offers the Land Rover Young Apprenticeship in motor vehicle programme and a Hairdressing Young Apprenticeship. This involves two days a week off the school timetable, working towards a Level 2 qualification.
Diplomas
The College currently delivers three Diplomas in partnership with schools in Engineering, Creative and Media and IT. These courses are available at level 1 and level 2. Students
attend the College one day per week.
