Tameside College has support in place to ensure students get the help they need during their studies.
Careers Advice and Help with Your Next Step
Qualified advisers will provide you with all the guidance and support you need,
whether your next step is university, college or employment.
General Help and Advice
Student Services will help with many of life’s problems. They can help with financial
matters and give you advice on accommodation, health and welfare.
Counselling
The College has a team of professional counsellors who offer support on a confidential
basis. Counselling can help you to make decisions on issues that concern you. They
can also support you through a sudden crisis or with personal issues.
Student Support and Childcare
At the Ashton Centre there is a college pre-school for children over the age of
two. The pre-school provides high quality childcare in a warm, bright and stimulating
environment.
Additional Learning Support (ALS)
Each programme area has its own team of Additional Learning Support tutors who can
work with you and help you to achieve your learning goals. You may want to access
support because:
- You need help with reading, writing, language or maths
- You need
help when you are doing coursework
- You need help with study skills
- You have a learning
difficulty or disability
- You have a hearing or visual impairment
