Former student secures Scholarship

Former Level three Animation and Computer Game Design student, Michael Cauchi is currently studying a BA (Hons) in Computer Visualisation and Animation at Bournemouth University, where he has received a scholarship for Academic Excellence worth £1,500 to help towards his studies.

Bournemouth University is the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA), where Tameside College Animation students’ progress to on a frequent basis. The scholarship which Michael has secured is an excellent opportunity for him; it will help him on his path to progression into a career in Animation.

Michael commented about his time at Tameside College to which he said; “The course I studied at Tameside College helped tremendously as it taught me all the skills I will need to pursue a career in the industry. I feel the most important part of my studies at the College was how Andy, the Animation and Computer Game Design tutor taught me. Andy’s method strongly encouraged self-reliance, which enabled me to be my own quality control, that’s what I believe helped me most in securing my place at NCCA.”

Michael is well on his way to achieving his aim of gaining a degree and securing employment within a top Animation company.
