Dovestones
Dovestones, located at Tameside College, is a purpose-built facility with superb
equipment and specialist resources for students with severe and profound learning
difficulties.
The purpose built facility contains three classrooms, an art room, IT suite, a life
skills room, laundry, changing areas, physiotherapy and medical rooms, sensory rooms
and an enclosed garden area.
Dovestones aims to provide a package of multi-disciplinary support to all students
enrolled on the Personal Development Programme, so in addition to the college tutors,
support and care staff, we have support from medical staff, specialists in visual
impairment and hearing impairment, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech
and language therapy.
