Raising the Grade

A representative from ‘Premier Foods’ visited Tameside College this week to help Bakery students create the perfect loaf, ready for a bakery competition later this year.

 

Christopher Foxall gave a presentation to the students in the college’s state-of-the-art bakery kitchens, giving tips and advice on the bakery industry. After the presentation the students made their own Hovis and Granary bread, as Christopher lent his expert skills to help the students. The visit was aimed at assisting the student’s skills and learning ready for the bakery competition in May 2009.

 

Bakery tutor Bill Barlow said, “The students have learnt a great deal from Christopher, and his visit has helped the students immensely. He mentioned how he saw a lot of potential in the students and wishes them the best for the competition.”
