Local school pupils represented Tameside College at the North West Regional Hairdressing Competition, held in Blackpool.
Jessica Goosen, Kelly Royston, Becky Mitchell and Hannah Mayne all study at the College, on a day release programme from their school. The competition involved the students creating hairstyles on models, within a time limit, as an independent panel of experts judged their creations.
The competition saw 30 learners competing in the challenge, with Jessica finishing in 5th place. Tameside College tutor, Kevin Davis said, “The students did exceptionally well, considering their age and that fact they were competing against full time college learners. This is a fantastic achievement for the students.”
