Snap Happy Hospital

Tameside College’s Creative Studies students have collaborated with construction company, Balfour Beatty and the NHS Trust to produce artwork that will be displayed at Tameside General Hospital.

Balfour Beatty, who are currently constructing the new build of the hospital, have previously worked with the college’s Construction department and are now teaming up with the Creative Arts department. Students were given permission to access a number of areas and departments at the hospital. Working behind the scenes with both staff and patients the brief gave them an insight into the vocational aspects involved in their course.

The work displayed at the hospital has been created by 2nd Year National Diploma Photography students who had a brief to produce images showing the hospital and its ancillary services, which reflect the Trusts Mission Statement.
