Matrix Re-accreditation for Student Services

The Matrix Standard is the unique quality framework for the effective delivery of information, advice and guidance on learning and work. After two days of interviews with staff and students, the Inspector reported that he was reassured that strengths identified three years ago were still present.
The strengths were; the skills, knowledge and commitment of the Student Services team, the use of client feedback to help shape the Services, the commitment to continuous personal development and the effectiveness of the induction process for new staff.
In addition, the Inspector found two new strengths in the use of new technology, in particular Learning Box and Student Zone and the breadth of the support offered to prospective and existing students, for example student finances, home to college travel and child care funding and availability.
This excellent result is testament to the hard work and commitment of the Student Services team.
