Spa Trip

Spa Trip

Level 3 Spa students from Hyde Clarendon and Tameside College recently spent two days in the city of Bath as part of their Spa Therapies programme.

The trip involved experiencing the new Thermae Spa which incorporated a roof top open air thermal pool where the students carried out practical hydrotherapy assessments. The aim of the trip was to expand learners’ knowledge and understanding of the spa industry in a practical, ‘hands on’ approach. The learners had the opportunity to observe and gain an understanding of the management and maintenance of a working spa.  They also experienced the steam pods and other thermal pools on offer. The students then took an audio tour to learn about the history of the Royal Baths and visited the Roman Baths.

Beauty tutor, Claire Lomax commented, “It was a great team building exercise.  The students thoroughly enjoyed the Spa and were impressed with the Roman Baths.”

Melissa Riley and Rebecca Walton said, “We enjoyed our trip to Bath.  The Spa was clean and professional.  It was a very relaxing environment.  “We’ll come again!”

Toomey Kelly added, “I found the history of the city very interesting and loved the experience I had in the Thermae Spa.  The team building activities were fun and an all round thumbs up!”
