Learners Celebrate Completing their Course

The E2E team have been running a new pilot Foundation Learning Programme since September 2009 at the E2E centre on Stamford Street and eight learners have successfully completed the College’s first Skills for Work and Life Programme.

The students gained qualifications in functional skills in Maths, English & ICT, a BTEC certificate in Work Skills and a Level 1 Award in Personal, Social & Health Education.

The group have now completed five qualifications in 18 weeks including participating in work placement activities. Three students within the group have successfully secured Apprenticeship places, two are hoping to progress to college in September and the final three students have taken up E2E places to continue gaining work placement experience.

E2E Manager, Tracey Buckley said “The celebration event was a well earned reward for the hard work and achievements of the group. The learners have all enjoyed the course and completed the qualifications. It has enabled them to progress to further learning and training opportunities with confidence in their own abilities.”
