Loyal customer reaches 100th Birthday

Former Mayoress of Mossley, Annie Marsden recently celebrated her 100th birthday with a meal in Reflections Restaurant at Tameside College.

Mrs Marsden is a regular customer at Reflections and so it was ensured that we marked the occasion appropriately. Principal of the college, Peter Ryder presented Annie with a birthday cake made by the Bakery students, as the customers and staff sang ‘Happy Birthday’.

Mrs Marsden who attended the Restaurant with her son, Peter Marsden and other close family and friends wrote to the college after her visit to say, “I am so very grateful to the staff students and kitchen staff who always make me feel very welcome whenever I come here. You always provide excellent service and value for money and I always look forward to being able to come again with my friends and family.”

Annie has been described as a ‘total inspiration’ in the Tameside Advertiser as she requested that people donate money to Mossley Methodist Church instead of buying her gifts.
