Quality Award for Tameside College

Tameside College become part of a select group in the North West to receive the prestigious Unionlearn Quality Award for their innovative work.

The Unionlearn Quality Award is presented to providers who demonstrate that union learners are considered in the design, development and delivery of courses. Tameside College was highlighted for its innovative work, providing learning in functional skills, business improvement techniques and logistics to union learners in Tameside.

The award ceremony took place in December 2012, and was presented by Dave Eva, Regional Manager of Unionlearn. Key Account Managers, Chris Matthews and Jacqui Anderson, went along to collect the award on behalf of Tameside College.

Dave Eva, Unionlearn Regional Manager, said: “Unionlearn and Trade Unions are ensuring that education members receive the highest standard of quality. Our work with Tameside College is already benefiting union learners in Tameside and the North West”.

Louise Elson, Key Account Manager at Tameside College, said: “We are delighted to receive this award in recognition of the hard work and dedication that our Employer Responsive tutors have shown. We now hope that the Unionlearn Quality Award helps us build our existing partnerships and forge new ones in the future.”
