Cruden Group employ College students

Cruden Group, a leading construction, development and property services provider, is employing two Apprentices from Tameside College.

The apprentices will work in an important redevelopment plan in Audenshaw.

Cruden Group has undertaken the residential redevelopment of a disused site on Corporation Road. The site was previously the Hawthorns Special School and Cruden Group is currently building new houses for New Charter. 90 dwellings will be built in total; 36 one-bed apartments and 54 two-, three- and four-bed family houses.

The Tameside students employed by Cruden Group are Ijaz Aslan and James Connolly. They are currently studying Level two Site Carpentry (construction), after progressing from a Level one Carpentry course. Both Ijaz and James are very excited for this important step in their career.

James said; “When I got the apprenticeship I was very happy and proud of myself. The opportunity has enabled me to increase my practical skills and I feel I’m learning new skills. The apprenticeship team at Tameside College have supported me throughout my course and with my progress at Cruden.”
