Hitachi donate power tools to College

Following the success of Pathway to Construction in securing ten work placements with guaranteed apprenticeships for Construction Trades at Tameside College, Hitachi Power Tools have kindly provided the College with a range of power tools.

The donated power tools will help train Tameside College students to a high standard, which will in effect help them towards a successful career in the Construction trade.

Hitachi Power Tools (UK) Limited is based in Milton Keynes and is a subsidiary company of Hitachi Koki Co. Hitachi distributes power tools on a world wide scale. They are a manufacturer that has nine plants throughout the world.

Carl Shaw, Curriculum Leader for Carpentry and Joinery said “I would like to thank both Hitachi and Mike on behalf of the College and the students for their generosity in donating the power tools; they will be used to good effect in training Carpenters and Joiners of the future.”

Gareth McCloud, First Year Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice commented “Hitachi are one of the leading power tool manufacturers that supply the construction industry, it is great that we can practice our skills on the latest power tools currently on the market.”
