Apprenticeships takes their message into Ashton

Tameside College’s Apprenticeship team took to the streets of Ashton this week to promote their Apprenticeship Fair taking place at Tameside College on Tuesday 28th October, 10.30am-1pm. Armed with their “Ask Me” banners and flyers, the team went into Ashton Town Centre to talk to young people about their futures and inform them of the variety of options available to them after leaving school. Tameside College currently have over 20 vacancies available with a whole range of industries including: Business, Hairdressing, Hospitality, Childcare, Health and Social Care and Customer Service. At the Apprenticeship Fair people will have the opportunity to learn more about Apprenticeships, meet the team and discuss which exciting job prospects are best suited for their skill-set and interests.

Apprenticeship Manager Christine Quinn said: “It’s great to get out into the community and talk to young people about their options. So many students leave school unsure what to do next, whether to begin in a career or continue their education. With Apprenticeships they can have the best of both worlds, as they learn a skilled trade whilst still attending classes related to their area of work. With above national average success rates for the last three years, it’s well worth coming to see us at the Fair to find out more about our variety of vacancies as there is truly something for everyone.”
