Bistro relaunches at Tameside College

Staff and students from Tameside College joined the food department to celebrate the relaunch of their onsite Bistro restaurant. Jackie Moores, Principal of Tameside College cut the ceremonial ribbon and welcomed everyone to try the new menu.
The relaunch marks the beginning of Equality and Diversity Week, with students preparing dishes with a different cultural theme every day, including: English, Mexican, French and Italian cuisines.
John Holden, Food Service teacher at Tameside College, said: “The Bistro gives our students an opportunity to see what it is like to run a food establishment and is great experience for them. They have been really hands on during the whole process, coming up with ideas for different dishes, redesigning the menus and decorating the room for the official relaunch.”
The Bistro is open to the public: 10am-1pm, Monday to Friday.
