Sarah, said: “This was my fourth world championship, and each year is an honour to be selected to represent my country. My team mates were fantastic and it was an amazing experience to play alongside them.”

When she isn’t playing ice hockey, Sarah works as a personal assistant and is studying her course with the college with the aim of moving into a human resources role.

She added: “The course has provided me with the foundations to progress into HR and it has been such a worthwhile experience with the variety of backgrounds the students and lecturers have that are involved with the course. My progression plans are really to continue learning, both within my job role and also on my course. I think the combination of working and studying at the same time is great personal development and they go hand in hand together.”
