Apprenticeship Awards celebrate successes

Apprentices celebrated their successes at the annual Tameside College Apprenticeship Awards on Wednesday 6th June.

24 apprentices and their employers gathered at Clarendon Sixth Form College’s Brooke Vincent theatre to receive awards for their achievements.

Jackie Moores, principal at Tameside College, congratulated students on being awarded: “I’d like to say that the college is proud of all our Apprentices and well done to every single one of the award winners, you are the future of our workforce. Apprenticeships are now a very good alternative to the traditional A-level route; they allow students to gain a huge amount of experience whilst working and also give them sought after qualifications."

Councillor Ged Cooney presented an award and certificate to each of the proud apprentices who were nominated for their outstanding performance and achievement during their employment.

Councillor Cooney, said: ““We (Tameside MBC) are pleased with the work that the college and local employers in Tameside do to support apprentices. Late Cllr Kieran Quinn was passionate about apprenticeships and we will continue his passion by supporting the college and apprentices. Thank you to Tameside College for their annual apprenticeship awards, which allows us to all come together to recognise their hard work and dedication.”
