A Level Art and Design

Course Content

This course encourages you to be an individual, offering you the opportunity to express and explore your creative ideas. You will be introduced to a variety of media and techniques that will broaden and strengthen your knowledge and understanding. You will develop your own practice as an artist and be encouraged to investigate new ideas and processes. Underpinning your work will be the development of vital drawing skills that are essential in any area of creative study after your A Levels.

Entry Qualifications

Grade C or above GCSE in relevant Art subject. Satisfactory portfolio.

Progression

After completing A Level Art and Design, students go on to take higher education in art and design, then aim to join the world of advertising as graphic designers, illustrators, typographers or become painters, sculptors, textile designers, fashion designers, photographers to name just a few.
