Level 3 Diploma for Entry to the Uniformed Services

Course Content

The NCFE Level 3 in Uniformed Services has been designed for young people who have an interest in working in the Uniformed Public Services. This course will be taught in a largely practical environment with an opportunity to develop skills in leadership, self-awareness, communication, planning, teamwork and confidence. The course is delivered by experienced Uniformed Public Service personnel who commit first-hand experience to delivering current and up to date information. Numerous employer links are made available throughout. Student visits and guest speakers are also a large component of this programme.

Students will also be given the opportunity to complete the’ HABC Stewarding Award’ and/or SIA L2 Security qualification alongside this course – ensuring you are employment ready!

Special Features

Functional skills in Maths and English and Work Experience visits form part of this programme. As part of preparing learners for employment we require all our learners to wear a college kit that can be purchased at the start of the course. More information will be given on interview.

Entry Qualifications

Learners are required to have 5 GCSEs at grade A-C and will also be required to undertake a pre-course interview and assessment day. Candidates will be expected to be enthusiastic about embarking on a career in the Uniformed Public Services


This qualification provides knowledge and practical skills related to Level 3.

On completion of this qualification candidates may progress on to higher level courses.
