You will be assigned a Personal Tutor and a Progress Tutor who will specifically look after your pastoral and course requirements
You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods including discussions, displays, case studies, presentations, written work and practical assessments whilst on work placement
You will gain sector specific knowledge and experience from guest speakers and educational visits
You will be taught by industry professionals from a range of the travel and tourism sector.
We do ask for a contribution towards your educational trips of £60 which is payable at the beginning of the term.

More than just a Course
The course provides students with an opportunity to develop skills, personal qualities and an attitude to succeed in working life. You will go on several trips, where you will see first-hand how functions work in industry. Trips could include visits to local attractions, accommodation providers and theme parks.
You will be required to wear a uniform; you will get details of this at enrolment. If you are interested in being a part of the vastly growing travel and tourism sector then this is the course for you. Travel dominates our lives. You could be looking to work in the airlines, overseas as a holiday representative, a tour guide, as a travel agent of even as a holiday blogger this course will support your progression into your chosen sector of travel and tourism. This practical and academic qualification will give you the knowledge and skills to move forward towards your goal.
This is a full time programme, you will sit an exam for 2 of the units; you must pass all the exams to gain the qualification. You will learn through a variety of methods which will aim to meet the needs of each individual and accommodate different learning styles for example, case studies, assessments, group work, practical work, projects and interactive activities.
Alongside your core Travel and Tourism studies you will study GCSE in Maths and English (if not already achieved at L2)
You are required to have 4 GCSE grade E-G in individual subjects. You will also be required to undertake an interview and will be expected to be enthusiastic about working in the health and social care sector.
