Course Content

The Level 3 qualification is designed to meet the technical needs for today’s motor vehicle repair industry, including the diagnosis and rectification of faults within advanced complex systems. It provides the essential knowledge to be a competent service technician working on light vehicles including small commercials in all types of garages, dealerships and maintenance depots. This qualification is deal for anyone looking to be a Motor Vehicle Technician or MOT tester and is well recognised within the industry.

Learners also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.

Course Format

Full Time, 2 ½ days per week

Entry Qualifications

Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair plus a minimum of Level 1 Functional Skills in English & Maths. Students will be required to undertake either GCSE or Functional Skills English and maths if not previously obtained.

Progression

This course offers you the opportunity to progress into employment.
