If you have said yes to any of the above the HND in Sport (health, fitness & exercise) is the perfect start to your career. This new and exciting qualification is a two year full-time course that addresses the fundamentals underpinning health, fitness and exercise. Delivery will be centred on the college campus; however external visits will also be used to support the syllabus. A variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies will be used to ensure you reach your academic potential and vocational goal. There is also the opportunity to study additional qualifications that are nationally recognised allowing you to apply for a wide range of careers with the sporting sector. All HE staff are student-centred and aim to provide excellent support and guidance to ensure you achieve the best grade possible thus strengthening your future prospects.

Assessment will be continuous throughout the course and will range from individual and group work, assignments, presentations, projects and practical observations. Your studies will take the form of:

Special Features

Entry Qualifications

» Grade C or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English

» Level 3 Diploma in Sport or Relevant A-Levels

» Mature Students and those with experience of working within the sporting sector or who have other relevant qualifications will be considered.


Academic:At the end of this qualification you can apply to top-up to a degree at universities or work in the industry.

Professional: This qualification will give you the foundations to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry.
