Course Content

Throughout this course you will develop a range of skills and knowledge in Beauty Therapy, preparing you for a rewarding career in helping people to look and feel good.

You will complete practical and theory work in all of the following areas; Manicure; Pedicure; Makeup; Waxing; Facial; Lash and Brow; Reception and Health and Safety.

You will learn each of these areas through practical work experience in our commercial Beauty Salons situated on-site, you will need to provide models for all of your practical assessments giving you an insight into the exciting and satisfying career path you have chosen.

Due to the fast track nature of the course at least 12 hours home study per week is recommended and full attendance is required.

Beauty Therapy is an exciting and challenging career. The course will combine core skills such as communication and retail, as well as practical skills. The course will give you the knowledge and skills to move forward into industry or Higher Education.

Entry Qualifications

Learners must have;

City and Guilds VRQ Level 1 Beauty or 4 GCSE’s grade D or equivalent (one of which must include English)

Successful interview with a Beauty Therapy tutor

A genuine interest in the subject

Good communication skills

A hardworking approach towards the industry


City and Guilds Level 3 Technical Skills in Beauty & Spa Therapies

City and Guilds Level 3 in Beauty Therapy

City and Guilds Level 2 Hair & Media Make UP

City and Guilds Level 2 Nails

Working as a junior therapist within a salon environment

If you are aged between 19-23 and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, tuition fees will be waived.
