The course is designed to meet the needs of those wishing to broaden their knowledge and understanding of theoretical and policy issues (including research methods) in education, training and related areas and who are taking on greater responsibility in relation to their professional role and career development.
Successful completion of the qualification requires the undertaking of the following mandatory units.
The programme provides progression from the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector Award (PTLLS).
Successful completion of the qualification requires the undertaking of 4 mandatory units.
The programme provides an introduction to teaching or training in the sector.
The course covers a number of related modules including: • Teaching, learning and assessment • Personal and professional development • Understanding curriculum and professional issues • Teaching a specialist subject Assessment is by assignment, observation of teaching and by portfolio building.
This short course is for those who support a disabled child or young person, or a child or young person with special educational needs or additional support needs, to participate in activities and experiences offered by the setting in which you work.
This course is for those candidates, who are working in any working environment who would like to internally verify NVQs.
