Alexandra produced a range of zesty orange shortbreads with chocolate twists, a selection of traditional scones including sultana and cherry, and a decorative Gateau. The judges were very impressed with Alexandra’s products and awarded her the prestigious prize.
Whilst at the Richemont School, Alexandra learned how to bake various types of speciality bread, display dough’s and enhanced her decorative skills in marzipan, Swiss chocolate and Gateau work.
Reflecting upon her time in Switzerland, she commented “Switzerland was an amazing place and I really enjoyed my time there. I had the chance to train with people from around the world who taught me lots and I feel more confident in my skills.”
