College Student Make History

Students make College history by competing in the BCS Cross Country North West Qualifiers. Three students from the College, Hayley Simpson, Ross Thompson and Jack Donnelly competed in the run.

The competition saw 35 girls compete, in which Hayley came in at 17th place, which is a huge achievement. 45 boys also competed, and Ross came in at 19th and Jack came 9th in the boy’s category.

All the runners excelled on a gruelling course which was one of the hardest courses in the North West, due to its steep hills and unforgiving terrain.

Luke Podmore, Student Activity Leader said; “Hayley, Ross and Jack should be extremely proud of themselves as they represented the College impeccably. The College is now beginning to become a force in the region out of the classroom as well as in it. We will continue to compete in these types of sports activities.”
