Tameside College enrolment dates 2020

We aim to make enrolment safe, personal and easy. Enrolment for 16-18 year olds is by invitation only to those who have applied and been offered a place, this includes applicants who have recently applied. Invitations will be sent by post from the college by Friday 31st July.

16-18 year old enrolment

Tameside College, Beaufort Road, Ashton-under-Lyne:

  • Thursday 20th August 10am to 7pm
  • Friday 21st August 9am to 4pm
  • Mon 24th August 9am to 7pm

All enrolments for Tameside College will take place at Beaufort Road. This includes those who will study at Tameside One.

Things we need you to do before visiting college to enrol:

Keep your appointment

  • It is important that you keep to your appointment in the invitation to enrol.
  • To help us manage social distancing we have limited the number of invitations to enrol at college every hour. By keeping to your appointment we can ensure the safety of the event.
  • If you are unable to attend enrolment at the time and date, listed above, please email our admissions team who will arrange a new appointment for you. Email: admissions@tameside.ac.uk
  • Let us know if you have recently been taking extra health precautions such as self-isolating or shielding too.

If you are interested in starting a college course this September you must apply for the chosen course on our website. Our admissions team will contact you to arrange an appointment for you to visit college when we receive your application.

Adult enrolment (19 plus)

Adult enrolment is by appointment only.

You must apply, through this website, for the course you are interested in. You can apply now.

We will acknowledge your application by email.  You will then be sent a further email, with links, requesting:

  • a passport style photograph to be uploaded for your student records AND some questions required for enrolment
  • you to select the best time and date for you to attend college to complete your enrolment

Enrolment dates for adults are available for selection, through the link that will be sent to you, from Tuesday 25th August.

Bursary information for all students

 If you are studying on a course which is government funded and you meet certain criteria, you can apply online for help to with additional costs for travel, books, equipment, uniform, and childcare. Click here to apply: https://tameside.paymystudent.com/portal/

Enrolment FAQs

I'm leaving school this year and been offered a place, when can I come and enrol?

If you have applied and been offered a place, or have made a recent application and not yet been interviewed, we will send you an invitation to enrolment by post.  Each applicant will receive a specific time and date to enrol.  It is important that you keep your appointment to help us maintain a safe enrolment.

What happens if I’m unable to attend at the appointment time I’ve been given?

Email the college’s admissions team who will arrange a new time and date for you to visit:admissions@tameside.ac.uk

I would like to start college in September but have not applied yet.  What can I do?

Make an online application via this website.  The college’s admissions team will reply to your application with a date and time to visit college for enrolment.

I’m over 19 years old, when can I enrol?

To enrol you need to apply for a course at Tameside College via this website. Once you have enrolled you will receive an email requesting you to: upload a passport style photograph, answer a few questions for enrolment and select a time and date to visit college to complete the enrolment. Then, attend the appointment at Tameside College, Beaufort Road to complete the enrolment.

I would like to maths and English, what do I do?

You need to apply on line via this website.  Once you have applied we will send you an email to request: for a passport style photograph to be uploaded and to answer some enrolment questions.  You can select a time to come in to college for an assessment and to enrol.
