Open Event success for Tameside College

Tameside College’s open event is the most successful yet, being the first since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

The event, which took place at the college’s Beaufort Road and Tameside One campuses on Monday 4th October, was attended by over 300 young people, making it the most popular so far.

The open event was launched to provide potential students with an opportunity to explore the college’s state-of-the-art campus and facilities, discuss their career options with teachers and learn more about the college’s wide range of vocational and apprenticeship qualifications.

The college will be hosting two more open events in 2021 for potential students: on Saturday 16th October (10am-2pm) and Monday 15th November (5pm-8pm). Places can be booked online now.

Jackie Moores, principal at Tameside College, said: “I am delighted to see school leavers and their parents visiting the college for the first time in two years since the pandemic. These events are the best opportunity for those leaving school in 2022 to consider their options and see for themselves how Tameside College can help students to access the very best jobs, universities and apprenticeships.”
