Students ‘made up’ with photoshoot experience

Media makeup students at Tameside College work with internationally renowned photographer on trip to London.

Students were tasked with creating a variety of looks and realistic ‘wounds’ for a photoshoot with renowned photographer Gino Cinganelli, under the direction of makeup artist Daniel Hoey.

The photoshoot took place at Rochester Photography Studios, which is owned by Gino and was aimed at giving the students real working experience of a live set.

During the trip, students also visited the Victoria and Albert Museum to research jewellery and fashion from different periods of history.

Kim Barrow, media makeup teacher at Tameside College, said: “Working with Gino and Daniel has been a very valuable experience for the students involved and the work they delivered was fantastic. This experience can go on their CVs and will really help them with their career development. Well done to them.”
