Pre Access to Higher Education

The Pre-Access to Higher Education course has been designed for adults who want to return to education and start on a journey to a new career. The course will help develop academic and practical skills and is ideal preparation for future higher level studies in a variety of pathways.
There are no formal qualifications for this course however previous qualifications gained will be advantageous
The qualifications provide knowledge and practical skills to enable you to progress onto;

Access to HE Social Work and Social Studies

Access to HE Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals

Access to HE Humanities

Access to HE Science for Allied Health Professionals
Tuition fees will be waived if:
(Not in paid employment)
You are in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance or Employment Support Allowance or you are in receipt of Universal Credit.

(In paid employment)
You receive a means tested benefit accepted by the college; are working less than 20 hours per week and have an income of £338 per month (individual claims) or £541 per month (household claims).
You earn less than £17,550.00 annual gross salary
AND the course you are studying will help you find or improve your employment

This also applies to all courses labelled level 1 or 2F.
