Criminology (Vocational A Level)

The course covers the following units:

Theories of criminality

Changing awareness of crime

Crime scene to courtroom

Crime and punishment

Criminology is a Level 3 Diploma and students will take this course alongside other A-level subjects (e.g. criminology, sociology and history). It is assessed by both coursework (50%) and examinations (50%).
An Individual Learning Plan will be designed for your needs

Assigned a Personal Tutor and a Progress Tutor who specifically look after your pastoral and course requirements

Various extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities such as trips to the law courts and guest speakers
Learners must have;

5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (to include a grade 4 in GCSE Maths or English)

A genuine interest in the subject

Good communication skills

Strong work ethic and the ability to work to deadlines
Higher education

Employment fields relating to crime and deviance (youth work, police and community work, civil service, social work, teaching etc)
