Level 2 Certificate in Equality & Diversity

This course is delivered as distance learning, allowing learners to choose when and where to study. You will be provided with the resource and assessment materials to enable you to successfully complete the course.

Throughout the course, you will complete 2 units in total. These include:

●  Equality and Diversity in society

o What is Diversity

o The effects of stereotyping and labelling

o The effects of prejudice and discrimination

o Ways in which people describe themselves

●  Equality and Diversity in the community and workplace

o The value to communities of a diverse environment

o Inequality that can occur in a community

o Community support groups to ensure equality and diversity

o What equality and diversity means to organisations

o The benefits to an organisation of a diverse workforce

o Promoting equality and diversity in the workplace

o How equality and diversity is monitored in the workplace

o Protecting rights in the workplace
This qualification is suitable for any learner to support promoting equality and diversity in the workplace and wider community to support a positive working environments.

This is a knowledge only qualification.
19-23 – Must already have a full level 2

24+ - Please enquire – proof of salary will be required

These courses are available to all adult learners, no matter your employment status, but if you are:
Not in paid employment and receiving a means tested benefit - please bring with you current dated benefit documentation.
In paid employment but with an annual gross salary of less than £18,525 - please bring with you a wage slip dated within 3 months of the start of the course.
If you are aged 19-23 as well as meeting the benefit criteria you will also need to hold a full level 2 qualification.
