Access to accounting software introduces the main features of accounting software along with the benefits and risks of its use.
During the course you will:
Understand the benefits and risks of using accounting software,
Set up accounts
Record bank and cash transactions
Produce reports using accounting software
This is the perfect starting point if you want to carry out basic finance and administrative duties using accounting software packages.
This is a basic entry-level qualification and can provide a solid grounding for students with no previous bookkeeping knowledge or experience, before moving on to the foundation-level qualifications.
No formal prior qualification in accountancy is required but basic literacy and numeracy competence is necessary (ideally L1)
You will sit assessments when you're ready, as agreed with your tutor
The assessment is partly computer marked and partly tutor marked.
Results will be available 6 weeks after the exam
