CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice, part time evening

The Foundation Level Certificate is ideal for professionals wanting to gain a wide range of relevant practical skills, and who want to further their career with a professional qualification.

By completing this qualification you will also gain the underpinning knowledge for assessment against the Associate professional level of membership (Assoc CIPD).

The Certificate in Human Resource Practice (CHRP) provides a firm foundation in all areas of HR. It will help you to develop essential HR skills and give you the confidence to be more effective at work and add value to your HR function.

The course consists of six units:

Developing yourself as an effective HR or L and D practitioner

Understanding organisations and the role of HR

Recording, analysing and using HR information

Resourcing Talent

Supporting good practice in managing employment relations

Delivering learning and development activities
Visit to employment tribunal; opportunity to attend branch meetings of the CIPD; access to CIPD website and receipt of ‘People Management’ (the fortnightly magazine published by CIPD).
This course is suitable for persons who are aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in HR/L&D; are working in the field of HR/L&D in a support role and wish to develop their knowledge and skills; have responsibility for HR/L&D activities and decisions within an organisation without a specialist function.

There are no formal entry requirements; however, prior to enrolment, you will have to attend an interview with the course tutor to ensure suitability, and participants are required to have a good command of English and ICT skills.
