Level 1 Award in Introduction to Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicle High Energy Systems
This qualification is for individuals who need to work safely on or near electric vehicles but do not work on the vehicle's high-voltage system.
Individuals working in the following occupations may find this qualification useful: recovery drivers, cleaners/valeters, vehicle fitters, body shop technicians, auto glazing technicians, vehicle fast-fit technicians, and sales staff
This course comprises of a combination of theory and practical sessions, where you will work with highly trained tutors on real vehicles and the latest training rigs.
This qualification has no specific entry requirements. However, learners must have the potential and opportunity to effectively attain the qualifications.
Assessment will be through safe completion of tasks to the desired standards via observations and a mandatory online multiple-choice questions test set by City and Guilds.
Candidates who successfully complete this course will receive certification from the City and Guilds.
Upon successful completion of this course, you may be able to progress to the following City & Guilds qualifications:
7290-02 - City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Safe Maintenance of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles.
7290-72 - City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Hazard Management of Electric and Hybrid Vehicle
