About the Role:
We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Bakery Apprentice to join our team in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in a craft bakery, working with high-quality ingredients and traditional baking methods while being part of a passionate and skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and assist in the preparation, baking, and presentation of a range of craft bakery products including breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
  • Assist with the preparation of doughs, batters, fillings, and icings, following recipes and techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Learn the art of handcrafting and shaping bread and pastries.
  • Assist in managing the proving, baking, and cooling of products, ensuring high standards of product quality and appearance.
  • Assist with stock control, including receiving and storing ingredients correctly.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the bakery, including working areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with serving and selling products when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel 1 day per week to attend college at Tameside One Campus in Ashton-under-Lyne (Tuesday).
  • A strong passion for baking, especially in the craft bakery industry, with a desire to develop your skills and expertise.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work weekends as part of the role.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, including college day.

Wage:

  • Starting at £6.40 per hour, rising to £7.55 per hour in April 2025.

 Level 3 Automotive Panel Technician

An independent vehicle bodyshop based in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Dukinfield.

Job Description: As an Apprentice Panel Beater, you will play a key role in assisting with the repair and restoration of vehicles, learning from experienced panel beaters to develop your skills in this essential trade. The apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive practical training, and work towards achieving a recognised qualification in vehicle body repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in repairing vehicle bodywork, including the removal and replacement of panels.
  • Prepare damaged vehicles for repair, including stripping and refitting parts.
  • Use tools and equipment to restore body panels to their original shape and condition.
  • Work with fillers, sanding, and painting to finish repairs.

 Dental Apprenticeship Level 3 Dukinield

DENTAL NURSE Apprenticeship LEVEL 3 STANDARD 

A local Dental Practice  is offering an Apprenticeship In Dental Nursing. located in   Dukinfield Ashton -Under-Lyne. This dental practice has an established reputation and a large client base.

You will need to be able to travel to Dukinfield  and also Tameside College, Beaufort Road, OL66NX. You will spend one day a week in college for the remainder of the week you will gain valuable work experience in the workplace. Hours of work may range from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 40 hours a week.

Candidates must have a 3 or D in maths and English to apply,

Successful candidates will be interviewed by the college then referred to the employer for an interview.

The course is approximately 18-24 months long in duration and you will be completing a Dental Nursing Apprenticeship

Wage is currently £6.40 per hour, rising to £7.55 in April in line with National Minimum Wage.

About the Role:
We are a friendly, family-run bakery and restaurant based in Gorton, Manchester. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Level 2 Commis Chef Apprentice to join our growing team. A trial shift will be necessary before being offered the role.

Duties

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired results.
  • Repair and maintain surfaces by filling holes, cracks, or imperfections prior to painting.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and finishes.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to while working on-site.
  • Keep work areas clean and organised throughout the duration of projects.
  • Drive to various job sites as required.

Qualifications

Occupation summary

This occupation is found in both the new build and refurbishment sectors of the construction industry. Projects vary in size, scale, and duration, ranging from the painting of a wall, refurbishment of a room to new build housing and large-scale commercial projects such as office blocks, hospitals and retail developments. 

Duty 1 work in compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of self and others at all times. Report in a timely manner any non-compliances.

 

Duty 2 carry out their work conforming to all current and relevant building regulations, quality standards and work instructions.

 

Duty 3 work to the construction programme, adapting to changes in schedule and requirements where necessary.

 

Duty 4 prepare the work site including setting out the work and selecting materials, tools and equipment appropriate to the project.

 

Duty 5 use the appropriate tools and equipment to prepare substrates and apply decorative materials to industry standards

 

Duty 6 carry out minor repairs or modifications to completed substrates/surfaces

 

Duty 7 collaborate with stakeholders including clients, customers and other construction trades

 

Duty 8 maintain a clear and safe worksite at all times, disposing of waste appropriately and sustainably

 

Duty 9 carry out continuous professional development to maintain knowledge of current and future developments affecting the role

 

Duty 10 receive, unload, move, lift and store materials to site for application following good handling practices to prevent injury or damage.
