Nigel Hawcroft

Nigel Hawcroft applied to Tameside College this year to gain more advanced and up to date qualifications in the professional driving of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). Nigel had previously worked at Bentley Motor Cars in the after sales department as a delivery driver of a HGV. However, after some time out of work, Nigel found that his knowledge needed updating and so enquired about carrying out the Mercedes Benz CPC Driver Training course.

Funding was allocated to him and he carried out the qualification and found his time at the college very rewarding.
Nigel expressed his gratitude to the college by writing a letter to the course tutor, Brian Saxon and the College Principal, Peter Ryder. An excerpt from the letter read, ‘Having recently attended the Mercedes Benz CPC Driver Training, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all the people I have encountered. The totally professional and warm, friendly treatment I have received at times has completely blown me away. There is a great atmosphere at Tameside College and coupled with the excellent facilities, outstanding training and support from all concerned this has made my experience extremely informative and uplifting.’

Principal Peter Ryder and the tutors who delivered the programme were extremely touched by Nigel’s sincere thanks and grateful for his positive feedback. We aim to deliver outstanding training to everyone within the community and appreciate it when this is received so warmly.
