BBC Young Baker of the Year Competition Tue, 31 January 2012 We are very proud to announce that one of our Bakery students, Oliver Campbell is the winner of the Young Baker of the Year. In addition Oliver was also the winner of the Pride of Tameside – Youth Achievement Award for National Recognition and Achievement. Oliver is a full time Bakery student who has excelled in the field of Bakery. Having only been in training for 15 months Oliver has proved that he has a natural gift and flair for Bakery. Throughout his studies he has taken every opportunity to participate in competitions receiving a national award for his Chocolate Wedding cake and recently the Richemont Young Bakers Award North West for Under 21 year olds, for his Scones, Cup Cakes and Loaves. His latest achievement is something to really shout about as he is the winner out of 100 who auditioned nationally for the BBC Young Baker of the Year, age 16 – 25. Congratulations to Oliver from the Governors, staff and students at Tameside College.
