Tameside College Scoops Two Top UK Awards

It was a proud occasion for Tameside College as they received two accolades at the International Association of Book-keepers (IAB) 2012 Top Centre Awards.

Course tutors, Janice Baddeley and Chris Atkin attended the ceremony held at The House of Commons, London, to accept the trophies on behalf of the college.

The first award they received was for the Top UK Centre in the examination of the Level 1 Award in Payroll. It was a momentous occasion as it is the third time the college has received the accolade. A fantastic achievement for all the staff and students involved.

The College was also the winner of the Top UK Centre in the examination of the Level 2 Computerised Payroll.

Course tutor, Janice Baddeley comments: “It was absolutely delightful going to the House of Commons and receiving the awards. I would like to congratulate the students who worked so hard towards their exams - many of them achieving an A* grade”.

Deputy Principal of Tameside College, Jenny Worsdale, said: “This is fantastic news, these accolades are not easily won and to do it in successive years is amazing.”
