Students renovate medical centre garden

Tameside College E2E students were set the task to renovate the Davaar Medical Centre’s garden. This task taught the students how to build greenhouses, relay soil, weeding and planting.

These students attended the course at E2E over a sixth month period which taught them about teamwork and gardening techniques.

The course allows students to gain a well-known qualification at the end of their six months.

The students have continuously been on hand since the renovation to maintain the medical centre’s garden.

Mr Lindsay, the patient’s group representative at the Davvar Medical Centre said, “The students are a great help and many people within the community have made comments about what a fantastic job they are doing.”

E2E tutors would like to say how proud they are of the students achievements through their time on the course.
