Card design impresses top management

Level three Graphic Design student, Adam Gray from Tameside College put his skills to use and created Tameside College’s very own personalised Christmas card late last year.

Students studying a Level three Extended Diploma in Graphic Design were tasked to design a Christmas card which would represent the College and the range of courses on offer. Tameside College Principal Peter Ryder and Deputy Principal Ellen Thinnesen gathered all designs from the students and picked one winner.

Ellen said; “We chose that particular card because the colour themes were very appealing along with the design of the images - in particular the Christmas tree with festive greetings beneath it, including the areas of study at the College. The detailed snowflakes above also add to the overall well designed Christmas card.”

Adam had understood the brief and was able to show the range of different courses that the College offer through his Christmas card design including: Art & Design, Hair & Beauty, Engineering, Motor Vehicle, Computing, Sports, Travel, Health & Social and Food Studies.

The winner, Adam Gray, was given 20 printed cards for his personal use and the design was used by Tameside College and featured on the College website.
