A day of fun with Cycle for GM

Tameside College students got on their bikes and enjoyed a day of fun and learning with Cycle for Greater Manchester when they visited the college recently.

The visit was to provide students will an opportunity to learn a new skill if they have never had the chance before. Not only that, students who can already ride got to learn new ways on how to stay safe whilst cycling.

Students from a range of different departments got involved with the activities taking place. Cycle for Greater Manchester were giving out advice and leaflets to anyone who passed by their promotional stand within the College.

As the day was a huge success with many students getting involved, Tameside College and Cycle for Greater Manchester have teamed up and are offering ‘Try a Bike’ sessions at the College. Members of the community, aged 16+ are able to book a place on the free course which will take place on Saturday 18th April with both morning and afternoon slots available, both sessions will be with a qualified instructor in a safe, off-road environment.
