Student wins professional painting and decorating award Wed, 21 September 2016 A special presentation took place at Tameside College in partnership with Hamilton, a professional decorating tools maker, to honour one of their most hard-working students. Ben Craik from Ashton, who is a former New Charter Academy student, was awarded with the ‘most improved student’ award for his dedication to his work and continuing progression over the last year. He was presented with a certificate and a Hamilton presentation box full of high quality professional decorating tools. A representative from Hamilton, said: “We wish Ben all the best in his future studies and promising career as professional painter and decorator.” Adam Johnson, painting and decorating teacher at Tameside College, said: “Ben has been a model student and a pleasure to teach.
