Top tool brand visits joinery students for live demo Tue, 04 April 2017 Makita UK, one of the UK’s top power tool manufacturers paid a visit to joinery students at Tameside College to give them a live demo of the range of tools that they provide for industry professionals. Richard Archer, area manager for the construction division of Makita UK, said: “Makita have manufactured a range of high quality tools for construction professionals, including: power drills, sanders, saws and strimmers for over 10 years now. We appreciate Tameside College inviting us in to do a live demo with the students so they can get an idea of the variety of tools they can use once they start working.” George Wood, joinery teacher at Tameside College, said: “It’s important for the college to provide opportunities for students to test out different products that they’ll be using in industry by inviting top manufacturers like Makita in to talk to them.
