Tameside College, in partnership with Tameside Council and Pure Innovations have supported Aspirations students from the college in gaining paid employment with Active Tameside.
Three students from Aspirations at Tameside College have been offered paid employment after completing their work placements as part of their supported internship programme.
The programme aims to help students with employability skills, along with confidence, team working skills and independent travel.
Liam has secured paid employment at Total Adrenaline after showing the employer his skills during a working interview.
Shannon has secured employment within the Creche and Adult Services; she is excited to spend her wages on social activities with friends.
After only eight weeks on placement, Anthony gained paid employment with Active Medlock Café as a Catering Assistant.
Alex, who is still carrying out his work placement with iTrain, hopes to also secure paid employment. He said: “I have many different tasks that I do at iTrain, I enjoy them all. I like to get on the bus and travel on my own to iTrain. I am a Student Ambassador for college and love playing football for my enrichment activity.”
