This programme is the first step to gaining a qualification in the Construction Industry, specifically in the role of Bricklaying.

The course covers the following units:

Clear and store bricklaying tools and equipment

Health and safety in construction trades

Prepare to carry out bricklaying

Working and communicating effectively in construction trades
An Individual Learning Plan will be designed for your needs

You will work with the latest industry tooling as used by Bricklaying specialists including OX & Sthil.
Learners must have;

4 GCSE’s grades D – G or 1 -3 (Must include English or Maths)

Successful interview with a Brickwork tutor

A genuine interest in the subject

Good communication skills

A hardworking approach towards the industry

If you are a Greater Manchester resident, and meet the unemployed criteria, or are employed where the low wage flexibility applies, (or are aged 19-23 and non GM resident) and don’t already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, tuition fees will be waived.
