A fantastic opportunity has arisen within High Peak Borough Council, who are looking to recruit an Apprentice in Plumbing to work alongside an experienced team providing plumbing repairs, maintenance and installation services for tenanted and empty properties that are managed by the Council or other clients as required.
Duties will include assisting the plumber in ensuring that all work meets the required performance targets and standards, give an excellent personal customer service whilst helping to ensure prompt work of the required standard, learn how to complete job sheets and maintain other records as required, learn how to complete appropriate plumbing installation and safety checks and issue appropriate certification, work in accordance with the requirements of safe systems of work ensuring all work is carried out safely and presents no risks to self or customers or colleagues, learn how to operate light machinery, plant and powered hand tools in accordance with recognised safety procedures.
The succesful candidate must have good communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, methodical worker with good attention to detail and a clean and tidy worker, the company is also looking for someone who is responsible and hardworking, punctual, reliable and well mannered.
This role may include daily travel to Buxton, however, the suitable candidate may be able to arrange a daily pick up point.
Work will be within Derbyshire and the High Peak area, so travel to these locations is essential.
Week wage £136.90 based on working 37 hours per week
