Custom Paint Exhibition

Custom Paint Exhibition

Paint Refinishing students put on a display of their work at Tameside College as part of a group competition. Staff and students from all areas of the college were encouraged to vote for their favourite work from all of the entries in the class.

A variety of painting techniques were used including flame painting, small murals, graphics and striping. The techniques and finishes on display are usually reproduced on cars, motorcycles, canvas, furniture and even glass. The display was fantastic and showed individual creativity, artistic vision, talent and embedded key skills.

First place was awarded to Lee Thornton with 53 votes and he won a Duel Action Sander from the college. In second place was Louis Gallimore with 38 votes and third was Jacob Wadsworth with 29 votes.

Course tutor, David Taylor commented “All the students have worked extremely hard on the course and the standard of work is way above the expected level. This is due to their drive, desire and determination to produce quality work, moreover, the feedback from parents and visitors have been tremendous.”
