China Visits Tameside College

Tameside College welcomed a visit from representatives of the Jiangbin Vocational School and Zhejiang University. The project was part of an exchange visit that had already been arranged, with Tameside College earlier visiting China. The purpose of the visit was to share best working practices between colleagues from China and the Art and Design department at Tameside College.

The visitors had the opportunity to view the Art and Design department, where they were able to view students participating in lessons and also got the chance to look at some of the work produced. As well as visiting the College, they also visited some of the cultural venues in Manchester.

Head of Creative Studies, Andy Cheers, commented 'Students from Art and Design had the opportunity to view work completed by students from China. This has been a very valuable experience for all concerned and we look forward to developing stronger links in the future.'

The visitors were then treated to a lavish meal at Reflections Restaurant where they signed a Memorandum of Understanding, to work together closely for the mutual benefit of students and staff.
